The "terrorist mastermind" has popped up again.

From the BBC story:

It is not entirely clear why the US government has chosen to release such sensitive information, but the Bush administration has sought often to portray Iraq as what it calls the central front in the war on terrorism.

I think it's entirely clear...

There is no news here apart from an unattributable briefing to journalists intended to associate the Iraq resistance to the occupation with Bin Laden.
