Like everyone else I've been playing (in my case on KDE).

It's a little more than eye-candy: as a way of working, it's compelling, because we have a natural sense of three-dimensional location, so which side of the cube a window is on sticks in your mind in a way that the knowledge of which numbered desktop it's on doesn't.

And the rain effect is fun.
