I'm very pleased to see that Netline has GPLed the proprietary parts of SLOX, though in a way this may have happened too late. The stories don't really make clear what this means for Novell's long term plans for SLOX, because part of the story is that Netline will bring out their own commercial version on a dual-licence model.
One irony though now is that according to the news stories, the Outlook (and forthcoming Evolution) connectors will remain proprietary, meaning that there will be a free Evolution connector for Microsoft Exchange but no free connectors for SLOX.
Interesting too to see that Joe Eckert (ex-SUSE) is now doing their publicity.
