Condoleezza Rice, (the one who famously sometimes absent-mindedly thinks she's married to the president of the USA) said today:

Our interaction with the rest of the world must be a conversation, not a monologue.

The problem is that the rest of the world is overwhelmingly inclined to reply along the lines of the well-known legal response in the case of Arkell v Pressdram.
