I've written a Python sudoku (Su Doku) solver which is here.

I think that it will solve all sudoku puzzles which have a unique solution, but I'm not certain about that. It certainly solves all the puzzles described as "fiendish" (numbers 76 to 100) in The Times Su Doku Book 1.
