Me too.
The one day that changed everything for me was not the day I first installed Slackware in 1995, or the day I installed SuSE 5.0, or the day I joined SuSE in 2000, but the day I went on a day course on "the internet for schools" in 1994. I went back to work the next day saying "I've seen the future and it works".
Then shortly after that there was the excitement of getting the dial-up connection to work for the first time.
And rather later the even greater excitement of getting SuSE 5.1 to connect over ISDN, providing that connection to the school's new network, and giving people email and samba shares...
