Many people have commented on the way in which Sun are fighting back against Linux, in particular through spreading the word about the interesting new technologies in OpenSolaris. One of the things that they do is to run an monthly evening meeting in central London at which they provide a talk followed by good food and drink. In response to this, a colleague (no names, no PT-drill) and I have come up with a cunning plan to undermine their strategy: we'll go along there and bankrupt Sun by EATING ALL THEIR FOOD and DRINKING ALL THEIR WINE. We think we can do it...

Seriously though, these are good meetings with good speakers and interesting conversation afterwards: I wish there were ways of promoting openSUSE as effectively as this.
