It seems that the great Easter Bomb Plot never was.
This is not a great surprise, under the circumstances. It seems likely that Bob Quick was in Downing Street to discuss a PR operation rather than a police operation when he messed it up. That's certainly what we got, with Gordon Brown and Jacqui Smith talking up the seriousness of the case for political reasons (and potentially prejudicing any trial by their comments).
